24 Hours In New York City

By:
Amanda Puleo

A quick trip to New York City with some of my favorite people is a time well spent! New York in February is not for the faint of heart. Its cold, but if you dress warm enough, you will still be able to have a great time and enjoy the city. Layers! Layers! Layers!

We got into the city around 12 noon, went to an amazingggg brunch at The Butcher's Daughter in SoHo. There was a very long wait to get a table and having just spent 8 hours in the car we were starving. There was an option for a table outside, uhhhh sure we are from Cleveland, we can eat outside in 40 degree weather hahah! It was actually super fun to people watch and there were heaters so it was actually bearable.

New York is the place for me, every place you go to has dairy free options. I had the most amazing waffle with a raspberry "butter" and jam.

After exploring SoHo and shopping around, we headed to The Color Factory, which is every designers dream. CF is a collaborative interactive exhibit which features a bunch of different rooms and interactive installations all with different themes.

It's a miracle we came out alive of the ball bit without some sort of disease. But we had the best time! Just a big kid playground!

We had an delicious dinner in SoHo at a little Italian restaurant which had kiwi sorbet for dessert??? yes please. Cle can we get some of this somewhere??

We stayed at the Westin Hotel in Times Square which was a great central location to the city.

Sunday morning we ventured our way to Washington Heights to attend Hillsong Church NYC! Such an amazing experience with a great community of people.

After Hillsong before our way home, we had brunch at Terravita, highly recommend!

It was a whirlwind weekend! We had all been to the city before, so we weren't interested in doing a ton of super touristy things. SoHo is my favorite part of NYC so I am glad we got to spend some real time just walking around and exploring!

Getting through February like a champ!

Much love
