Me and my my hair haven't always gotten along. When I was younger, everyone had thin, straight, blonde hair and I had thick, wavy brunette hair. I never had any urge to go blonde—that would be a disaster—but I did always want straighter hair. Before I got a straightener, my mom used to iron my hair on an ironing board...yeah don't do that lol. As I got older, I learned to love my hair. I love my hair. Its easy to curl and I can also wear it straight. But I love to embrace my natural waves. I thought I would share my everyday hair care routine!
My hair gets dry really easily, so I only wash it 3-4 times a week. For my everyday shampoo and conditioner, I use the drug store brand L'Oreal Evercreme. Its sulfate free and smells amazing and it makes my hair feel so soft and healthy.
Every time after I wash my hair, I put about a dime sized amount of this leave in conditioner in my palm and run it through the ends of my hair. It helps keep the frizz down and helps keep the split ends to a minimum. I try to avoid blow drying my hair too much. It really does a lot of damage. But this product does protect my hair when I do need to blow dry it, and when I apply other forms of heat to it.
About twice a month, I use this 100% Argan Oil treatment on my hair from the roots to the tips. I will do it on the weekends, so I can leave it in for as long as I can. Ill throw it up in a bun and go about my day.
On the days that I don't wash my hair, if I work out the night before or if my hair is just a little greasy, I will use this dry shampoo in the mornings. I usually just spray it on the pieces in front near my face and my roots. It doesn't leave any white residue behind which is crucial.
Now on to styling tools. I have tried a lot of different curling irons over the years. This is by far my favorite wand and I don't know if anything could top it. I use the NuMe Magic Curling Wand in the 1 1/4in size. This gives me the best beachy wave curls that I love.
Again with the NuMe products, I swear by them. Most of the products are on the expensive side, but I will say, they have sales ALL THE TIME. Good sales too. So if you are interested in them, keep a look out and subscribe to their email list.
