I am so excited to share today's DIY because it is a collab with a fellow DIY Blogger friend of mine, Mikyla! Check out her blog and her insta, she has an amazing sense of color and is always posting awesome projects! We wanted to collab on a project together that was inspired by SPRING! We wanted it to be simple enough that we could both put our own spin on it! We each got two different sets of bowls, (I went Goodwill shopping!) and we each made a planter out of them! We kept our designs a secret from each other until we were finished, and they both ended up SO CUTE!
This basket bag trend is absolutely one of my favorites. I saw this JADETribe bag on Instagram, checked it out and the price seemed way too high to me. It also seemed pretty easy to try to make. So I sought out a basket bag on Etsy that fit the shape I was looking for, got some string and created this little designer dupe ;)
I have been eyeing the Jason Polan Wink Embroidered Slippers from Soludos for quite awhile now. But I just couldn't justify spending the money on them because they aren't a pair of shoes that I would wear constantly. These DIY inspired espadrilles cost me about $25 to make!
This hanging wall headboard was inspired by an installation I saw at Anthropologie awhile back and thought hmm I can try to make that! So I started researching how to make paper flowers. I realized the amount I needed to make for what I was envisioning was going to take forever so I almost abandoned the idea, but I'm so glad I didn't because this has become such a staple piece for me.
